Jordan, Jamie Foxx starrer Just Mercy which is a legal drama film, tells the true story of Walter McMillian, who, with the help of young defence attorney Bryan Stevenson, appeals his murder conviction. The film is based on the memoir with the same name. The film which was released in 2019 received a lot of positive reviews from critics as well as from the audiences. So much so the film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Foxx received a nomination at the 26th Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.
